Gulfport Galleria Hosts 7th Christmas Gala
The gallery’s seventh Christmas Gala showcases hundreds of paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and prints from local artists who contribute to the local art community. Residents and artists perused the halls Friday night while sipping wine and snacking on hors d’oeuvres provided by local restaurants. The galleria became a non-profit this year and is partnering with Gulfport to expand its reach.
Bobbye Carraway, President of the Gulfport Galleria Board, says, “We’re also working with the City of Gulfport through Main Street. They’re helping host tonight and the Historical Society of Gulfport. So it’s a combined effort to bring the arts to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and especially to Gulfport. We feel we have such a rich heritage.”
Throughout the year, the gallery hosts workshops and camps to make art as accessible as possible to the population.
