Gulfport Fire working small brush fire near Highway 49
Gulfport Fire is working a small brush fire just east of Highway 49 on Creosote Road near McAllister’s.
According to Fire Chief Billy Kelley, the exhaust on a tow truck backfired and caught the dry grass ablaze.
No structures are in danger of damage and traffic should not be affected.
Gulfport Police also are on scene.
