Gulfport Fire Department appreciation breakfast

This morning, members of the Gulfport Valley of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite hosted a breakfast to honor Gulfport’s bravest.

The Gulfport Fire Department joined the members to enjoy eggs, pancakes, coffee, and fellowship.

John McKelvy, a member of the Gulfport Valley of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, tells News 25 they have hosted one other breakfast for the police department and they are always looking for ways to thank first responders. “What makes this a little unique is it’s not just for the guys that are on the trucks that are fighting fires. We have invited everyone from the maintenance crew to the dispatchers to all the chiefs and all the administrator personnel because they are an integral part of what happens at the fire department and we feel they deserve appreciation as well.”
