Gulfport Fire Chief under investigation

The City of Gulfport’s administration has initiated an investigation into a complaint from fire department personnel concerning Gulfport Fire Chief Mike Beyerstedt.

The administration received a complaint from fire department personnel about an incident that reportedly occurred at one of the fire stations. A source within the fire department spoke to News 25 who told us an incident had occurred between the fire chief and another member of the department.

News 25 reached out to Chief Beyerstedt last night and asked if he had a comment on this report to which he responded, “I know nothing about it.”
