Gulfport CRTC Fire Department Win Awards
The Gulfport CRTC Fire Department has new awards to hang up in their station. The Emergency Services Team won the 2014 ANG Fire Department of the Year award.
One of their firefighters also won the 2014 ANG Civilian Firefighter of the Year award, a recognition Heath Sidaway received over 200 other firefighters. Sidaway’s supervisors say he’s so deserving of the award because of his dedication and humility. Sidaway said, “Everything is teamwork, I mean not just at CRTC but out in Harrison County in our surrounding community. We get out, if it weren’t for them calling us to put our training to use, none of this would be possible.”
This is the first year this department has received these awards.
