Gulfport couple found dead in apparent murder-suicide

Two people are dead in what is an apparent murder-suicide on Kelly Avenue in Gulfport.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer said 46-year-old Rachel Lott and 38-year-old Robert Henry, both of Gulfport, were found inside an apartment after police were asked to make a welfare check.

The couple had not been heard from and friends were worried. First responders found them about 11 a.m. Tuesday. Switzer said the couple had been dead a couple of days.

Switzer also said that security cameras in the area show the couple going into the apartment and no other activity. He said the couple had an on-again, off-again relationship.

Both died of a single gunshot wound. No autopsies are planned.
