Gulfport Connect App

The City of Gulfport is rolling out a brand new app.

The app is called Gulfport Connect and can be found on iTunes and Google Play and can be used on any smart phone. The city recently launched it after working on it for about six months now.

The app has dozens of features like an events calendar, garbage pickup schedules, but the main goal of the application is to put the power into the citizens’ hands when it comes to reporting issues.  Gulfport Public Works Assistant Director Ryan Merrill said, “They can actually use the app to take pictures of pot holes, graffiti, and any other city concern. They don’t have to make a phone call and then they actually receive the notification back when it is completed and they can check the status of it as it moves along through the departments to get repaired.”
