Gulfport clinches first 7A District 4 championship since 2019 with 38-35 win over D’Iberville

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV) — The Gulfport Admirals have clinched their first 7A District 4 championship since 2019 after taking down D’Iberville by a score of 38-35 in Week 10.

The Admirals jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum through the game. Meanwhile, the Warriors made things interesting late, but it ultimately wasn’t enough for a complete comeback.

Up next, Gulfport will host Harrison Central, and D’Iberville will welcome rival Biloxi in the final regular season games of the year. Both games will be on Thursday, November 6th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Regardless of the outcome, both teams have clinched a spot in the playoffs.
