Gulfport City Schools win at Robotics Camp

Gulfport City Schools won big at the Underwater Robotics Competition in Mobile this weekend.

The Quest Class took part in the Alabama Regional Seaperch Competition. The middle and high school teams competed in two pool courses, an obstacle course, and mission course.

With that, each team used an underwater remote operated vehicle. This year’s mission course theme was environmental monitoring, focusing on coral restoration.

With those courses come some wins for Gulfport. First up, the Sailors earned the teamwork award for their positive attitudes and working together to complete the course.

The Gulfport City School’s Seakings took home the Middle School Overall Award as well.
