Gulfport Chamber of Commerce hosts second quarterly breakfast
Stennis Space Center is known far and wide for its contribution to NASA’s space program, but officials with Stennis are trying to get the word out about the other great things going on in Hancock County.
Duane Armstrong, the manager of the center’s strategy business development office, spoke at the Gulfport Chamber’s quarterly breakfast.
Stennis has more than 5,000 employees and draws businesses to South Mississippi that adds to the economic impact of the facility.
Armstrong said telling Stennis’ story is part of his mission. “It’s also some part of a secret. We’re out trying to tell the story so that people understand all the different things that are going on out there, the changes that are occurring and opportunities that creates for all of us going forward.”
