Gulfport Chamber hosts annual Taste, Rattle and Roll

Residents from across the Coast gathered at Centennial Plaza in Gulfport to try some of the best food in the south at the Taste, Rattle and Roll event.

This was the eighth year the chamber has held the event and the second time hosting it at the plaza.

The grand feast featured 33 different vendors from a variety of restaurants, bakeries, distilleries, and other places across Gulfport.

The chamber hosted the Mississippi Seafood Cook-Off as well. The winner of the cook-off was then crowned the king of Mississippi seafood and then heads off to compete in the National Seafood Competition. Gulfport Chamber of Commerce Director Tracy Yanez said, “We have had the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce Board work hard. We’ve got a lot of business partners and volunteers help us that went and set all of this up during the day today. They worked very hard and so we are very excited to see the fruits of the labor and everyone enjoying themselves.”

The event also hosted a raffle in which guests could win one of five gift baskets each valued at around $1,000 or more.
