Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport warning of scam impersonating airport phone number

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is warning residents of a scam going around.

The scam involves fraudulent phone calls impersonating the airport’s official phone number. Some calls reportedly offer free airline tickets and other travel incentives.

Airport officials want to remind residents that these calls are not legitimate and not associated with Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport or any of its airline partners.

The airport does not make unsolicited phone calls offering airline tickets, prizes, or travel promotions.

Anyone who receives these phone calls is urged to hang up immediately. Do not provide personal, financial, or payment information.

The airport is working with officials to address the issue.
