Gulfport alum Derick Hall projected early pick in 2023 NFL Draft
Gulfport High School alum Derick Hall has come a long way since his signing day ceremony all the way back on December 19th, 2018.
From then to now, the former Admiral became a four-year star with his Auburn Tigers, now less than 24 hours away from the rest of his life, if all goes according to plan.
A potential first round NFL Draft pick, Hall has done everything in his power to cement his day one status.
If that doesn’t work out, he’s not projected to go any lower than the second or third round after racking up 15-and-a-half sacks over the last two seasons followed by a really impressive week of Senior Bowl practice over in Mobile.
Here’s what he had to say about the love he has for his hometown of Gulfport back on February 4th. “Just the whole community, the whole Gulf Coast, I just want to say thank you to Admiral nation, Bayou View, Pass Road, I mean just from bottom up to top, the whole entire Gulfport School District, I just want to say thank you for the opportunity. It’s been a blessing and it’s definitely helped to get me where I am today, and always War Eagle.”
Hall is ranked as the 66th player on the big board, according to ESPN.
