Gulfport alum Derick Hall preparing for Senior Bowl

Yesterday, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. released his first NFL Mock Draft of the new year, featuring plenty of love for Gulfport alum Derick Hall, listed as a projected first round pick.

Kiper has the former Admiral going 27th overall to the Buffalo Bills, but these things are hardly set in stone.

In the month’s leading up to the big day, Hall giving the scouts some more film to look at as a member of the 2023 Senior Bowl.

The dynamic edge rusher out of Auburn says the one thing he wants to show scouts next week is his ability to dominate a game and that he couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity. “Special. I came here to watch a few Senior Bowls at a young age. I came when Dak was here that year, I think ’15 or so I think they said and I’ve been to a few other games. So being able to have the opportunity to come watch this game and then have the opportunity to play in it, to come here and learn from the best and put my best foot forward for a week for a very quick time and place is special.”

Hall has 15-and-a-half sacks over the last two years for the Tigers.
