Gulfport alum Derick Hall makes good on NFL Draft promise to Mom

Gulfport alum Derick Hall got the call of a lifetime back in April as a second round NFL Draft selection of the Seattle Seahawks.

Throughout the process, Hall was very outspoken about the village that helped raise him, starting with his mom, Stacy Gooden-Crandle, who went above and beyond to not only get him on a football field, but to give him a shot at life after being born four months premature.

Fast forward to June 6th, the former Admiral signed an unprecedented contract with the Seahawks and now that his bag is secure, mom is now the very proud owner of a custom 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III, fulfilling the moment that both mom and son talked about during draft night. Hall said, “She’s been talking about that truck for a while, so like I said, whatever she wants she’ll get it, so I guess we’ll be going to the dealership.”

The car is completely paid off and ready to roll!
