Gulf Coast Veterans Association Parade canceled
PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gulf Coast Veterans Association’s parade set for Saturday, November 8 in Pass Christian has been canceled.
This is a result of the government shutdown.
However, the funds originally designated for the parade are now going to provide Thanksgiving dinners for veterans and active-duty families through a new initiative called ‘Blessings for the Brave.’
The Gulf Coast Veterans Association will be providing more information on how the public can get involved in the days to come.
Despite the cancelation of that parade, two other notable parades honoring veterans are still on for this weekend.
In Gulfport, the 2025 Gulf Coast Veterans Parade is still set to roll at 11 a.m. Saturday through Downtown Gulfport.
On Sunday in Long Beach, the Veterans Day parade will roll from 1:30 to 3:30 through Downtown Long Beach.
