Gulf Coast Rescue Mission is ready to build

It’s been about nine months since a fire destroyed a building at the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission and since then they’ve been working to get everything in place to start building.
In two to three weeks they will lay the plumbing, and then get to work on the structure.
In the past nine months, they’ve still provided food, clothing, and shelter for those in need. Reverend Tom Mims hopes to have the kitchen completed by December so the mission can get back to serving more than 1,000 people for Christmas. “To be able to accept people without being full would be great, going back to doing that. We’ll be able to feed more people. We’ll be able to help more people. There’s a growing need on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with Biloxi and Gulfport trying to provide housing for the homeless. We want to be a part of that. We’d like to be able to hurry up and get it done.”
The Gulf Coast Rescue Mission is still in need of funds for their rebuild. If you’d like to donate call them at 228-388-3884.
