Gulf Coast Raiders preparing for first season
GULF COAST, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gulf Coast Raiders semi-pro football team is getting closer to their inaugural season.
The Raiders hosted a mini camp at Camp Wilkes over the weekend and followed it up with an open scrimmage on Sunday to give community members a chance to see what the team has been working on.
The team’s athletes come from many different backgrounds, but all are working together to form a team that will bring some excitement to the Coast this spring.
A few players will even have the opportunity to receive college scholarships and continue their careers at the next level.
The Gulf Coast Raiders will start their season on March 14. All games will be played at St. Patrick Catholic High School.
