Gulf Coast Orchid Show
The Gulf Coast Orchid Society will be hosting their 39th annual show.
The event takes place at the Gautier Convention Center starting Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The show will be open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature a variety of different orchids on display with many available for purchase.
The show won’t just be one big sale, but also a learning experience with an orchid growing class taking place on Sunday. Marilyn Ladner with the Gulf Coast Orchid Society said, “It gives them an understanding so when they’re buying these orchids what do they need to do. It’s about an hour long course and people always enjoy it.”
Like the entire event, the orchid care class is free to the public.
