Gulf Coast Kringle Club holds workshop for Santa’s helpers

It may be August, but that doesn’t mean Santa Claus isn’t already hard at work.

Santa D said, “We all love each other. We all trying to do the same thing, trying to help kids, love kids, and love on them. That’s what we do. We come down to try to figure out a way to make it easier for them and us.”

Christmas may be roughly four months from now, but Santa and his cousins are fast at working training Santa’s newest holiday helpers in the Christmas spirit in Ocean Springs for a Kringle Kollege class. Santa IV said, “So, one of the classes that we are hosting here at the Kringle Kollege is to go and know what kind of suit is best suited for the Gulf Coast, what to expect. If they’re new and portraying one of my cousins, Santa, this is going to help them know how to talk to kids.”

If you stumbled into the Kringle Kollege workshop Saturday morning, you may have just thought you ended up in the Marvel Multiverse with over 30 odd variants of Santa Claus to tell your wish to.

The workshop is for newly inducted Santas and his helpers on all things Christmas from apparel, treats and more, the Gulf Coast Kringle Club established last year houses over 50 Santas across the five Southern Coastal states and as for the why they do the job each one says the same.  “The enjoyment you can see in their eyes when they come running across the stage or anywhere, you’re sitting just to get in Santa’s lap for the first time, you can’t put it in words.”

Santa says the Christmas spirit is all about your imagination and the willingness never to forget to dream no matter how old you are. Whimsical Santa said, “The Imagination of children is a spectacular, wonderful gift, and sometimes people grow out of it. Those of us who are in the work of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and elves and such, we hope that we can kind of extend that a little bit longer, you know, and help people to enjoy their imagination.”
