Gulf Coast Event Center ribbon cutting

What used to be a popular nightclub in Gulfport is now a venue for a variety of celebrations.
As of today, the old Michael’s nightclub on Highway 49 is now the Gulf Coast Event Center. The four million dollar investment aims to attract customers from all across Mississippi for parties, wedding receptions, corporate events, and more. The center has up to six different event rooms available that hold anywhere from 15 to 330 people.
Gulf Coast Event Center Co-owner Jessica Shular Chevalier said, “We love this place. We’re proud of it. It’s very easy to get into. Sometimes when you go to other places, you have to get out and valet. I just love the easy access of this property. If you look around, we’ve done a beautiful job with the interior design.”
Owners tell News 25 the venue has gone through many transformations, but the event center is one they are confident will bring in business for many years to come.
