Gulf Coast Community Ministries celebrates 20 years on the Coast

Gulf Coast Community Ministries is celebrating 20 years of serving the Gulf Coast.

The faith-based organization is a non-profit dedicated to serving those on the Gulf Coast by providing medical care, food, and clothing.

GCCM feeds around 500 families each month and provides food and clothing to the homeless on a daily basis.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., GCCM provides a food pantry and a free clothing program for those in need. The first and third Thursday of every month, GCCM operates a free medical clinic for uninsured adults from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

GCCM welcomes collections of non-perishable foods and adult clothing items.

Event Director for Gulf Coast Community Ministries Geremy Merrit says there is always someone in need. “Everyone is in need. Some are in more need than others. So, this is a perfect place. You will get the food. You will get the medical attention if needed. Also, you have warm, loving volunteers.”

GCCM is supported by a growing list of churches, individuals, businesses, and organizations.
