Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence collecting donations for Adopt-a-Family program

The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence is collecting items for their Adopt-a-Family program.

The gifts are going to survivors of traumatic experiences and every year the program provides for more than 400 individuals.

They still have families needing to be adopted.

If you are unable to adopt a family, but would like to help out, they are accepting general gifts like gift cards, toys, housewares, or bath and body products. GCCFN Communications Director Rene Davis said, “We may have people that come in very last minute and domestic violence is something that doesn’t stop at any point in the year. So, we may have families who come in very last minute. We want to make sure that on Christmas morning they have gifts just like everybody else.”

If you’re interested in helping make someone’s Christmas season a little brighter, send an email to Christmas@gccfn.org to be matched with a family or individual.
