Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence awarded MSAG grant

The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office is sending nearly a million dollars to eight organizations in the state that supports trafficking victims, including one here on the Coast.
The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence will receive more than $167, 000 which will go towards future trainings here on the Coast to help people better identify sex trafficking and connecting survivors to more program services.
In announcing this news today, Attorney General Lynn Fitch says this move is all about working to eliminate trafficking in Mississippi.
The committee that decides on how this money is used received 16 applications from organizations this year.
