Gulf Coast Beer and Bacon and Chocolate Festival is set for May 1st
The Gulf Coast Beer and Bacon and Chocolate Festival is set for Saturday, May 1st in Gulfport at the Hollywood Warehouse.
It is a fundraiser that will be serving brews, bacon, and this year they’re adding chocolate dishes from over 20 local restaurants.
The proceeds going to Mississippi Heroes, a local nonprofit whose mission is to celebrate everyday caregivers like heroes. They give caregivers a day off to enjoy themselves.
For example, they’ll take them to Ship Island, nail salons, and other places providing them with a day of relaxation and fun. Mississippi Heroes Founder Katherine Sutton said, “Caregivers don’t ever take time for themselves. They’re very humble. They’re either working or fulltime caregivers. It is everybody. In some instances, everybody is a caregiver, was a caregiver, or is going to be a caregiver.”
