Group holding beach walk to benefit Wreaths for Biloxi National Cemetery

With the weather creeping into the 90s already, it feels like Christmas is a long way off, but a group on the Coast is holding a beach walk this weekend to raise funds for the wreaths that are laid at the graves in the Biloxi National Cemetery each holiday season.

Kevin Cuttill’s group, Wreaths for BNC, is holding its wreath walk Saturday at 8 a.m.

The walk is from Ken Combs Pier to the Armed Forces Retirement Home and back. Registration is $30.

Cuttill says the wreaths for the more than 21,000 graves are bought at the base exchange at Keesler Air Force Base, which in turn also benefits the morale, welfare, and recreation department on base.
