Great American Cleanup

The city of Biloxi calls on the community to pitch in and volunteer to make the city a cleaner place.

The annual Great American Cleanup in Biloxi kicked off Sunday and spreads to this Saturday.
The week-long event encourages volunteers to pick up trash along the roadway or in neighborhoods.
You can grab your trash bags and gloves at the bond-grant house off Howard Avenue any day this week to get involved in the cleanup.

“This is the way for citizens to get out and about, get out in the community and clean up their neighborhoods, clean up areas around town that looks like it needs to be cleaned up, the city of Biloxi does have city employees that does this all year round but this needs to be a community effort.”
– Cecilia Dobbs Walton Public Affairs Specialist, City Of Biloxi

On Saturday, there will be an organized cleanup for individuals and groups from 8 a.m. to Noon.
Volunteers should meet at the Point Cadet Plaza where trash bags, gloves and participation forms will be available.
