Grease fire at Sonic on Highway 49
A bit of a scare in downtown Gulfport this morning as a fryer at the Sonic on Highway 49 caught fire.
It happened around 9:30 this morning. The blaze caused smoke to billow out of the kitchen, but the Gulfport Fire Department responded and quickly put it out.
Work is already underway to repair the fryer, but no word how long the restaurant will be closed for those repairs.
No one was injured.
