Grant Me Hope: 11-year-old La’Kaira is looking to be adopted
Every Monday here on WXXV we feature a child from Mississippi hoping to get adopted. Today you will meet 11-year-old La’kaira.
My name is La’Kaira and I am 11 and I’m going to the sixth grade. What people don’t know about me is I really love dogs and dogs are like my spirit animal. Somebody leading you to the right path, and I just listen to dogs and dogs just be barking and I understand what they’re saying.
When I get older I would like to be a veterinarian and why is that I like animals and animals are nice to me and they should be nice to everybody else. My kind of activities are riding horses, and playing with the pet guinea pig. If I was adopted I would like to be on a farm.
These are my favorite foods; catfish, and crawfish and shrimp and crab and oysters. My favorite activities are playing UNO, cleaning the guinea pig’s cage, going outside , and going to a park.
When I’m in school I really enjoy math and reading. Well my favorite subject questions are multiplication, subtraction, division, and addition. The person I mostly look up to in my life is my mom. The hardest thing ever that I had to do was give up my mom.
If I was adopted into a family I will babysit, play games, and wash dishes, and fold clothes. I would feel happy.
