Grand Bature Fire 90 Percent Contained

A Jackson County forest fire that’s been burning since last Thursday is now 90 percent contained.
The blaze has torn through more than 4,200 acres of land in the Grand Bature forest fire. Bayou Heron Road is now open to the public.
Firefighters will continue clearing debris and hazardous materials from the roadways and monitoring the area.
