Governor Tate Reeves signs multiple bills into law

Governor Tate Reeves signed two bills on Tuesday designating special days for groups and another for hunting.
Reevs signed House Bill 124 that designated the fourth Thursday in March as Tuskegee Airmen Day.
He also signed House Bill 365, designating the month of March as Mississippi Musicians Month and House Bill 526 which will allow hunters to wear fluorescent pink or orange safety vests.
The Tuskegee Airmen Bill was authored by Representative Jeffrey Hulum III of Gulfport. A celebration is planned for next Thursday, the first official observance of the day.
Representative Missy McGee of Hattiesburg authored the bill to honor Mississippi’s long history of music. The law takes effect immediately.
The wearing of fluorescent pink as an alternative to orange while hunting takes effect on July 1st.
