Governor Tate Reeves addresses the future of college football amid COVID-19
Right now the college football season feels like anyone that’s ever walked into class late, all eyes on you wondering why you were late.
Except in this case, all eyes are on college football, wondering if it’ll be late and when we’ll know if it’ll be late.
Today, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves addressed the elephant in the room regarding the future of college football in Mississippi. “I told one of my fellow governors the other night that I would pay $200 to watch him and another governor play ping pong with each other. That’s how interested I am in getting organized sports back together. With respect to college football, I think particularly when you talk about the Southeastern Conference, when you talk about Jackson State, you talk about Southern Miss, I think we’re going to work with the leagues. I think the leagues are probably going to be leading the charge with respect to that.”
Governor Reeves goes on to say he’s still hearing mixed information as to whether or not the college football season will start on time.
