Governor signs bill decriminalizing fentanyl testing strips

Governor Tate Reeves has signed a bill to decriminalize fentanyl testing strips.

In a statement, the governor said: “It’s a sad reality that fentanyl overdoses are skyrocketing as a result of an open border.”

He went on to say this bill will help save lives.

House Bill 722 amends the Mississippi Code regarding paraphernalia to exclude materials used to test for the presence of fentanyl.
