Governor Reeves reacts to ongoing government shutdown
Mississippi state officials are reacting to the ongoing stalemate in Washington as the government shut down enters a new week.
Governor Reeves taking to social media on Monday, criticizing Democrats for their role in the shutdown and calling it the ‘Schumer Shutdown.’
Reeves says the shutdown continues to hurt Mississippi military personnel and Mississippians who need extra assistance.
Reeves went on to say in his statement that ‘he hopes Senate Democrats vote to approve a continuing resolution this week that will restore benefits and paychecks to many Mississippians.’
