Governor Bryant Signs Warrant on Sexual Assault Suspect
Governor Phil Bryant has signed a warrant to have a sexual assault suspect extradited from Florida to face charges in Ocean Springs.
Twenty-four year-old Cameron May, of Biloxi, is wanted in the brutal attack and rape of a 33-year-old woman on September 10th inside her apartment office in Ocean Springs.
Jackson County District Attorney Tony Lawrence says the transfer could take two weeks. May was captured September 21st in Florida and refused to waive his right to an extradition hearing. The governor’s warrant eliminates the need for the hearing.
