Government Street Improvement Project in Ocean Springs

Today is a big day when it comes to improvements to a well-traveled street in Ocean Springs.

The Government Street Improvement Project is set to break ground today.
City and county representatives along with M-DOT Southern District Transportation Commissioner Tom King will be on hand for the event.
The project awarded to D O’brian lls will improve sidewalk connections between Hanley and Hanshaw Road.
The one point two million dollar project is funded through the state transportation improvement plan.
Those funds were matched locally by the city of Ocean Springs, Jackson County and Gulf Regional Planning Commission.
