Goodwill of South Mississippi grand opening tomorrow in Gulfport
The largest Goodwill in southeast Mississippi will have their long awaited grand opening tomorrow.
With 60,000 square feet of shopping opportunity, the staff of Goodwill South Mississippi is looking forward to opening their doors at the location on Highway 49 in Gulfport.
Since the pandemic delayed their construction progress, the staff is ensuring safety management for themselves and customers.
All donations are quarantined for 72 hours before hitting the sales floor.
However, especially during this COVID-19 time, the most important aspect to this opening is the company’s vision to create job opportunities. Chief Workforce and Economic Development Officer Kimberly Holl said, “When you donate and when you shop, you are literally changing lives. Because of the revenue that this generated in our stores and because of our loyal shoppers, we are able to help put people to work and at the end of the day, this is exactly what this is about. The vision of Goodwill is that we eliminate poverty in Mississippi.”
The ribbon cutting ceremony for this location will be held tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.
