Goodwill of South Mississippi relocating Gulfport store to larger location, expanding services

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- A popular Gulf Coast thrift store is getting a major upgrade.

Goodwill of South Mississippi is preparing to move into a larger Gulfport location designed to better serve shoppers, donors, and job seekers.

Goodwill’s Hardy Court Store is relocating to a bigger space within the same shopping center.

The move will allow it to broaden services while continuing to support job training and career opportunities across the Coast.

The new location will feature expanded shopping areas, a larger processing center, and a community room that will also serve as a career center.

Goodwill says every donation and purchase helps fund job training, career services, and employment programs for local residents.

The grand opening is set for Thursday, August 20 at 10 a.m. The first customers in line will receive Goodwill swag and some will have a chance to win gift cards and other prizes.

Until then, Goodwill is holding a moving sale at its current Hardy Court location, where all items are just $1 through August 8.
