Golfers participated in second annual Seabee Golf Invitational in Diamondhead

The club in Diamondhead called all golfers and Seabee supporters for their second annual Gulf Coast Seabee Golf Invitational.

The event today raised funds for college scholarships for the children of Seabees wounded in action and fund the CEC Seabee Historical Foundation.

More than 70 golfers registered and played a total of 18 holes to show their support.

Other than playing golf all day, there was a silent auction, raffles, and the golf members were fed lunch then later dinner.

Event Organizer Dan Miller plans to continue the tournament next year in the same place. “The two organizations are really only interested in support Seabees and their families. So, I think they will enjoy the day. It’s a little cool, but I think it will warm up by the end of the day. We’re just looking forward to a good day and a good time and we appreciate their service and sacrifice to the country.”
