“Gloria In Excelsis” Choral Society Welcomes New Members

Rehearsals Begin August 17th

“Gloria In Excelsis” Choral Society is a community choral program offered to the Gulf Coast Greater Community and the Greater Biloxi Diocese through the Music & Fine Arts Ministry of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral – 870 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, Mississippi. Now beginning its fourth season – “Gloria In Excelsis” (GIE) offers four primary concerts per year – namely an Advent, Christmas, Lenten and Patriotic Concert. Members of “Gloria In Excelsis” have also participated with Mobile Vocal Arts Choral Society of Mobile, Alabama to share in Christmas and Spring Concerts presented in St. Joseph Chapel on the campus of Spring Hill College ~ a Jesuit College.
Membership in “Gloria In Excelsis” is open to the general public. Anyone from High School through retirement age in the Greater Gulf Coast Community and the Greater Biloxi Catholic Diocese is warmly invited to attend/join. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. in the Academy of the Sacred Heart facility immediately behind Nativity BVM Cathedral. Rehearsal/concert season runs from mid-August to late June with breaks throughout the year. Our first rehearsal will be Tuesday, August 17th. New members are welcomed at any time throughout the year.
