Glenda Jackson Celebrates 23 Years at WXXV!

You may recognize some of us at WXXV News 25 but after two decades of service we wanted to highlight the smiling face you see at the front desk when you walk into our building. Glenda Jackson, a lifelong Mississippi resident, has never appeared on air but after 23 years at the station and now a sales assistant we felt like that had to change. Though Glenda has described the job as a blessing from god you may be surprised to hear she never actually applied for it. 

“I went to one of the win programs where they help you with jobs and applications. One day I got a call from Mr. Al the young man that helped me with my paperwork and he told me about a position opening at fox 25 tv station. If it had not been for the lord and Mr. Al I wouldn’t be here.” 

We asked Glenda what’s the best part of the job? She said to the people. Congratulations to Glenda for 23 years and counting at WXXV-TV.
