‘Get the bad man!’ Mounted officer gives chase to fleeing suspect

A Florida man learned a tough lesson Tuesday — you can’t outrun a horse.

Mounted police in Jacksonville, Florida, watched 25-year-old Jordan Wilson hand off illegal drugs.

When he tried to flee the scene, Officer Cassie Haire pursued him on her horse, Nash.

Wilson ignored commands to stop for a quarter mile. At one point, Haire can be heard urging her horse, “Get the bad man!”

When he realized there was no escaping a galloping horse, he eventually gave up.

Wilson surrender to Officer Zachary Maryland and was taken into custody. He was charged with misdemeanor resisting an officer without violence.

“He didn’t count on your JSO Mounted Unit being hot on his tail. Police Service Horse Nash, with Officer Cassie Haire in the saddle, galloped into action, proving that criminals can run, but they can’t hide from our horsepower!” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.
