George County’s Marquez Dortch commits to Mississippi State

Good weekend for Ole Miss on the field, not so much in recruiting, as the Rebels lose two commitments from the Coast on the same Sunday.

Starting with George County’s Marquez ‘MoJo’ Dortch, who already found a new home this evening, having committed to Mississippi State where he still gets to wear the Maroon and White.

A four-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports, Dortch has been linked to the Rebels since January, but says MSU is giving him the chance to sign as a wide receiver.

The senior led George County in receptions, yards, and touchdowns, accounting for over 1,000 all-purpose yards and nine all-purpose touchdowns.

His next game is December 11th for the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic.
