George County’s Brandon Davis named MHSAA/NFHS Baseball Coach of the Year!
This might as well be the George County show because the celebrations continue to roll in for the Rebels, but this time it’s not an athlete, but one of the main pieces of the baseball program’s puzzle.
George County head baseball coach Brandon Davis has officially been named MHSAA/NFHS Baseball Coach of the Year! Earlier this year, Davis and his Rebels won the 6A State championship in two games and led his team to achieve the best overall record in school history with 30 wins and 5 loses.
Later that month, Davis was then named the class 6A Coach of the Year, alongside his son, Ben Davis, who received class 6A Player of the Year. Along with Ben, three other rebels were named all-state players including Preston McAdory, Tripp Lightsey, and Canyon Reeves.
Coach Davis is not only a baseball coach, but truly a leader of young men. Congratulations to Coach Brandon Davis, your baseball Coach of the Year!
