George County Softball Celebrates State Championship at WXXV!

WXXV News 25’s Sports Director Ansley Brent sits down with the 2025 Class 6A Softball State Champions, the George County Lady Rebels. Brent is joined by first year Head Coach Anna Grace Rigby and upcoming seniors Blakely Slay, Jordyn Bradley, Aryana Dixon, and Hadleigh Tatum.

Two months ago to the date, the George County Lady Rebels hoisted up the State Championship trophy in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. For this group of girls, they made history their freshman year winning the first ever State Championship and two years later they’ll have a ring for each hand.

The State Championship wasn’t the only notable part of their career. The Lady Rebels were nationally ranked earlier in the season, cliched the District Championship for the third time in a row, and had an overall record of 34-3.

We could not be more proud of the George County Lady Rebels, and we look forward to cheering on these girls during their senior season!
