George County Sheriff’s Office investigation early morning shooting

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Deputies and investigators in George County are investigating an early morning shooting in the Tannertown Road area.

On October 9 at 1:20 a.m., authorities responded to the area to reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies found an adult man suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was transported for medical treatment. His current condition has not been released at this time.

Deputies arrested 58-year-old Victoria Valentine in connection with the incident. She has been charged with domestic violence-aggravated assault. Valentine is currently being held at the George County Regional Jail on a $5,000 commercial bond.
