George County School District plays host to active shooter response training

George County, Miss. (WXXV)- The George County School District and Homeland Security hosted a training for an active shooter response.

The training includes the school district’s police department, George County Sheriff’s Office, Lucedale Police Department and the state’s Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Training helps ensure a quick response. The George County School District saying they will continue to ensure the schools are a place where children are safe and secure.
