George County QB Deuce Knight flips from Notre Dame to Auburn

George County 4-star quarterback Deuce Knight made a huge announcement on his social media account on Wednesday.

The 34 ranked player in nation according to 24/7 Sports, Knight announced that he is flipping his commitment from Notre Dame to Auburn.

Knight has been committed to Notre Dame since last September, originally choosing the Fighting Irish over Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Colorado.

“Yeah I am excited, you know, playing in the SEC I just feel like it means more,” Knight said. “That is where the best of the best play and it is going to get you prepared for Sunday’s. We are always going to feel better playing somewhere close to home and playing where people can come and see you. The SEC, like I said, you are playing against the best every week and that is just going to prepare you for the next level. I told coach Freeze yesterday and he was hype. He was saying throughout my recruitment that he needs a trigger man. He feels like if he could get a trigger man, you know, Auburn can do some special things. I know he is rebuilding and he will tell you himself that they are not complete right now. If you get the trigger man and more pieces around, he feels like we can go in and beat Bama and beat Georgia and teams like that.”
