George County QB Deuce Knight commits to Notre Dame

LUCEDALE, Miss. (WXXV) — George County quarterback Deuce Knight has given his verbal commitment to Notre Dame, choosing the Fighting Irish over a plethora of Division I offers (including Alabama and Georgia).

According to 247Sports, the junior 4-Star recruit is the No. 2 ranked player in Mississippi for the class of 2025, and the top-ranked QB in the state.

Knight has yet to play a game for the Rebels this season, after transferring to Lipscomb Academy in Tennessee, and then transferring back earlier this month.

But Knight still flashed that Power Five potential in 2022, throwing for over 1,900 yards and 11 touchdowns to just four interceptions, with another 400-plus yards and 12 scores on the ground.
