George County man sentenced for sexual assault of children

LUCEDALE, Miss. (WXXV)- A Lucedale man is sentenced to 90 years behind bars after being convicted Thursday on more than a dozen counts of sexually abusing multiple children.
Forty-two-year-old Lloyd Spicer Jr. will serve his sentenced in MDOC custody.
He was convicted on eight counts of sexual battery by a person in position of trust and six counts of touching a child for lustful purposes.
Prosecutors say Spicer began abusing the children at a young age and another victim testified that other adults were told of the abuse, but did not report it.
Spicer will not be eligible for early release or parole as a result of this sentencing.
